Today NACAS is pleased to announce NACAS Talks, a brand new general session format for the 2015 NACAS Annual Conference. NACAS Talks will host multiple 10-minute presentations from local San Antonio leaders. Their presentations will challenge attendees to find new ways to balance individuality, society, and technology in order to embrace the “Brave New World” of innovation. Read more

Community college graduation rates have been alarmingly low. In 2012, California Gov. Jerry Brown signed the Student Success Act into law. Intended to improve educational outcomes for community college students and better prepare the workforce for the state’s changing economy, this act contained 22 recommendations aimed at restructuring student support services, improving consistency and efficiency, and increasing completion rates within the 112-campus system. A ride on the mobile side

With the introduction of mobile technology, riders can now install an app on their smartphone that is location-aware and, in seconds, identify the closest bus stop, see which routes service that stop, find when the next bus will arrive for each route, and watch the bus move toward them on a map in real time.
