2016 NACAS Annual Conference

Join us in Indy! October 9 - 12, 2016.

16AC Conference Logo

The conference for campus innovation.

We are the business of higher education: bookstores, dining halls, campus card systems, housing, and more. This is the conference where our professional peers gather from around the world, where over 180 companies share tomorrow's solutions, and where new inspiration and ideas are discovered in over 100 educational sessions.

Where an industry gathers.

Auxiliary Services, Ancillary Services, Business Services, Campus Services. No matter what your campus calls them, they all have one thing in common: non-academic campus support. And this is the conference where we gather.

A Conference For You. Our attendees have experience in all areas of auxiliary services. Here are just a few examples!

Are you in the process of preparing to sit for the CASP exam? Whether you are planning to take the exam at the Annual Conference or thereafter, this pre-conference Prep Course will provide a unique opportunity to prepare for the exam. Emerging Professionals Program
Saturday, October 8
3:00pm - 6:00pm

This program is designed for new auxiliary professionals with fewer than five years of experience in higher education auxiliary services. It will feature a key presentation, the opportunity to network with peers over light food and beverage, and an open discussion focused on emerging professionals within NACAS and auxiliary services.

Senior Management Program
Saturday, October 8
3:00pm - 6:00pm

Designed for upper- and senior- level management, the Senior Management Program will focus on how to lead into the future given the politically charged and complex environments within higher education. The program will focus on the competencies leaders must master to maximize and leverage their work through innovation, collaboration, and the ability to strategically position their departments. Participants will be encouraged to interact throughout the conference both formally and informally through sessions targeted to this audience.

Over 100 educational sessions built for you.

It's all about revenue generation. The mission of making sure your campus is profitable. Hear new ideas from industry colleagues, discover new trends from business partners dedicated to your success, and find out what did and did not work on other campuses. Learn more

How do we deliver this information? In two different educational session formats designed to meet multiple learning styles: 30-minute flash sessions and 60-minute extended sessions.

Tour innovative campuses.

See what universities on the cutting edge of auxiliary services are doing to enhance the student experience, streamline business processes, and increase revenue. Both tours will be offered the afternoon of Tuesday, October 11th, from 1:30pm - 4:30pm. Pre-registration is required and attendance has been limited to 50 individuals per tour.

Butler University
Join us for a tour of Butler University located just a few miles from downtown Indianapolis. Butler is a private, coed university with an enrollment of 4,100 undergraduates and over 600 postgraduates. The beautiful 295-acre campus is continually evolving advancing the university by providing superior campus amenities. The tour includes a visit to Atherton Student Union located on Atherton Mall, Fairview House a newly constructed, state-of-the-art, 633-bed student residence hall, Clowes Memorial Hall, which hosts numerous world-class lectures, concerts, and performances, a recently constructed multi-use parking garage, the health and recreation complex and historical Hinkle Fieldhouse home of the Butler Bulldogs.
IUPUI
Located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) is a premier urban public research university. A thriving and continually growing campus, it’s home to over 30,000 students. Our tour host will be the staff of the Office of Auxiliary Services at IUPUI. The campus tour includes the Campus Center, the iconic IU Natatorium, host of many national and international events, the track and soccer stadium, a conference center transformed into a residence hall, dining services, event services and several additional auxiliary units. Join us for an exciting look at auxiliary services on a very bustling urban campus.

A powerhouse conference destination.

With a $275 million expansion and its striking contemporary look and sense of openness, the Indiana Convention Center redefines the character of a trade show and meeting venue. Located in the heart of the 12th largest city in the U.S., Indianapolis, Indiana, the center is connected by skywalks to a four-story urban shopping mall, more than 200 restaurants and clubs, well-known sports venues, and a 10-block state park that features top museums, green space, and convenient canal walk. It's the reason Indianapolis is known as "the most walkable downtown in America".

Luxury in the heart of downtown.

Considered the crown jewel of Marriott Place Indianapolis, the JW Marriott Indianapolis Downtown is a landmark amid the five Marriott hotels connected to the Indiana Convention Center. This luxury hotel in Downtown Indianapolis soars 33 stories above the city and boasts the finest luxury amenities. The best part? It's only steps away from the conference center. Learn more
