College Services Goes Digital

Now members can view digital editions of our quarterly award winning magazine, College Services.

College Services is the quarterly magazine of NACAS. It is published every March, June, September, and December, and serves to enhance and add synergy to the connections between our members.

Members have access to full-text articles from all issues of College Services from 2004 to the present in the NACAS Main Library in our new Online Community. This is one of the many reasons to join NACAS.

Submit an Article

Most of our articles and commentaries are derived from NACAS membership but we accept material from any source that can build on the knowledge base for collegiate auxiliary services professionals. Since we are a non-profit association, we do not pay our contributing authors. However, we have never been wanting for interesting and instructive articles to publish, primarily due to the generosity, experience and enthusiasm of our members.

You can benefit as much by contributing to CS as you can from reading the articles it contains. We often hear from our contributors that the process of documenting their project was a valuable learning experience for them and gave them new insights.

We know our members are not professional writers so we do our very best to make the process of submitting an article as effortless as possible. We will accept and consider a finished manuscript with photos of your latest campus project, a fledgling story idea, or anything in between. We have the editorial expertise to turn your ideas into a feature article that will earn the respect of your colleagues (not to mention your institution's president). Maximize your exposure with a NACAS integrated media program. As an advertiser, you are able to target key decision-makers in the college auxiliary market. Student Author Article Contest

Congratulations to Allison Harper, the winner of the NACAS College Services Student Auther Contest sponsored by Sodexo. View Allison's article, Never Say Never.

Students were asked to submit a 1,500 to 2,500 word article on the topic of "How Auxiliary Services Has Influenced My College Experience." The contest was held between August 18 and December 19, 2008. Thank you to all the student authors will submitted articles! The winning submission was selected in February by the Communication Services Committee. The winning article ran in the 2008 spring issue of College Services.
