Welcome to the NACAS West Website!
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had an amazing holiday break and made time to celebrate wonderful times with family and friends, filled with laughter and great moments.
Congratulations to our NACAS West member, William (Bill) Shiba, for receiving the NACAS West Regional Mentorship Award. Bill is the Director of Student Unions at the University of Arizona. We're proud of you Bill! Congratulations also go out to Jared Ceja, Director, Auxiliary Services at Chaffey College. Jared was successful in winning a NACAS West regional conference registration at the NACAS Annual Conference in Hawaii. Congrats Jared and we look forward to seeing you in Sonoma!
Save the date, enjoy the scenery and take part in some fantastic educational sessions! The NACAS West Annual Conference is fast approaching. The conference will be in Sonoma, California from April 25 - 27th, 2010. The program theme is Harvesting Great Ideas and focusing on what today's student wants and how we, as auxiliaries/ancillaries can meet their needs and wants. This will also include some fantastic sessions in technology. There will be lots of great opportunities to make some connections with colleagues and business partners. Be sure to register as we look forward to seeing you for another great professional development opportunity. If professional development expenses are a challenge at your institution please consider applying for the NACAS West Regional Conference Scholarship. You can find all the information about it at NACAS West Conference Scholarship. The deadline is February 1, 2010.
Just like our students, our customers, NACAS West is on Facebook! It is a chance to get to know your fellow NACAS members a little better, learn about interesting challenges facing our institutions and have fun. Please be sure to join the NACAS West Facebook group. We, as service providers, need to be more practiced at using Facebook as well as other social networking sites. What better way than being part of a trusted NACAS West Facebook community.
The NACAS Community is a social networking site just for NACAS members For those of you who haven't logged onto the NACAS Community, please take a moment to do so. The more involvement and activity on the site the more beneficial it will be to all. Log into the site and try it out.
We value our members and our organization and are proud that we have the tools and opportunities to assist us in making The Connections That Count. Please let me know what we can add to the NACAS West website that would make it more useful for you.
