Helping to Better the Profession

NACAS exists as the necessary agency with essential services and programs supportive of the auxiliary services and campus support services professional of the future.  The Association has a fundamental obligation to provide higher education with new knowledge in the form of ideas, approaches, and information that will help to create new and better ways of managing and leading the complex institutions and organizations that collectively make up the higher education enterprise.

NACAS is committed to providing a broad program of educational publications and professional development opportunities to the membership.  The Association believes strongly in creating opportunities for institutional and associate members to come together to share new ideas, technologies, and approaches that will enhance their effectiveness on campus and move the profession forward in the years to come.

The Region: The Core of Our Association

More than any other aspect of NACAS’s organization structure, the regions help to lay the foundation for volunteerism, governance, and quality interactions of the membership.  New members of NACAS become automatic affiliates of the regional association that includes the state in which the institution is located. No additional dues are required.

Regional conferences have strong participation with a significant number of attendees from Puerto Rico and Canada.  Educational sessions presented at the regional level help to create the basis for an outstanding effort at the national conference each fall. Regional activities continue to grow and provide opportunities for members of the association to network, improve their skills, and develop relationships supportive of a better future for the profession.

By all standards, the regions of NACAS are alive and well, and continue to impact the Association at all levels of leadership and decision-making.
