Mereese Ladson Fund
Former NACAS East President Mereese Ladson of Brooklyn
College passed away in mid-June 2004. She was an active member with
NACAS for more than a decade, serving in various leadership roles. After
several years of involvement at the regional level, Mereese served as
Treasurer for NACAS-East. She was then 2003-2004 President for this
region.
She was also known for the positive influence she had at Brooklyn College, offering staff training programs, modernization of the business operations, and motivational leadership. "She possessed a special demeanor that was magnetic and motivational," according to some NACAS-East members. "You could always count on Mereese for professional and personal assistance, and she was famous for encouraging every individual to maximize their potential."
Contributions can be made to the Mereese Ladson Fund, in care of the Education Foundation of NACAS and sent to the National Office at 7 Boar's Head Lane, Charlottesville, VA 22903.
