Part 1: Marketing and Sales:  What are the Trends NOW

What are the consumer trends that impact your sales and ultimately your revenue?  The landscape is constantly changing and understanding what consumers want and need at any given time requires knowledge of the consumer trends that impact their buying decisions.  College and university auxiliary services departments have the additional challenge of marketing and selling to the most savvy of consumers…the 18-24 year-olds.  Join NACAS as we learn more about the trends and behaviors impacting your bottom lines.  Specifically, participants will:

  • be introduced to current consumer behaviors that directly impact marketing and sales for auxiliary services
  • be introduced to strategies for outreach to your core customers based upon the aforementioned trends
  • learn techniques for environmental scanning to remain aware of what consumers want, need and desire
Part 2: Building a Strong Brand in a Crowded Marketplace

Today, our consumers on campus have many options, on and off-campus, on where they will spend their money.  And just like everyone else, this community will feel best about spending their money on a brand that they trust and feel is attentive to their needs.  In this session, we will discuss the power of your brand and how a strong brand impacts your place in the market.  Specifically, participants will:

  • be introduced to branding through case studies of brand pioneers
  • learn how to build a recognized and preferred brand in a crowded marketplace where options abound
