Program Abstract: In 2006, the administration said either change the food service operation and make it into a viable and successful operation or outsource it. In 2011 the food service operation at SLCC is thriving and has received accolades from the administration and many others who were longtime critics. What changed? How did it change? The success story begins and continues with creating/recreating a culture of success.

Program Abstract: Colorado State University - Pueblo will be examined as a case study in how a primarily commuter campus can plan and deliver new student housing to support enrollment and student life goals. Attendees will learn about CSU - Pueblo's motivation for expanding its campus housing, the planning process it employed, how it implemented that process and worked with third-parties to deliver and finance 750-beds of new campus housing. Finally, we will examine enrollment and retention outcomes. Attendees will discuss their campus circumstances and methods for involving housing in a broader campus change process.
